Stretch Mark Treatment for Stretch Mark & Scar Revision

Stretch Mark Treatment & Scar Revision

Our Stretch Mark & Scar Revision treatments are meant to minimize the appearance of striae, smooth out elevated or indented scars, and help restore a more uniform skin surface on the body and face. All treatments are conducted by our trained medical specialists using the latest radiofrequency and fractional resurfacing technology. Your markings can be from pregnancy, a growth spurt, weight change, surgery or acne. Whatever the reason, we develop a custom stretch mark treatment plan around your skin type and the regions that affect you most.

What Is Stretch Mark & Scar Revision?

Stretch marks and scars are both records of repair. When skin is stretched quickly or injured, collagen and elastin in the dermis tear and rebuild in a disorganized pattern, which is why the finished mark looks and feels different from the skin around it. Topical creams sit on the surface and rarely reach that layer. A clinical stretch mark treatment works underneath it instead, creating controlled micro-injuries that prompt the body to lay down fresh, better-organized collagen over the following weeks and months.

Most of our revision treatments at Cosmetic Rejuvenation Center are non-invasive or minimally invasive and require little to no downtime for most patients. The RF energy, microneedling depth and pulse settings may all be customized, so a thin white stria on the thigh is not treated the same as a bigger surgical scar on the belly. Older marks faded to silver or white, and younger pink or red marks also react differently, which is why we inspect each region in person before providing a strategy.

Why Stretch Marks and Scars Are So Hard to Fade on Their Own

Most people show up having already tried. Cocoa butter over your pregnant body, a drawer full of vitamin E oil, retinol serums, scar sheets, dry brushing. And there is a reason none of it moved the needle that much. Stretch marks and scars are formed in the dermis, the layer well below the surface you touch with your fingertips. Almost nothing applied topically gets to that depth in a meaningful concentration. Sunscreen and light moisturizers are still important in preventing newer marks from darkening, but they are maintenance, not treatment. To get to disordered collagen where it lives, you have to transmit energy into the tissue, and that is what a clinical stretch mark treatment is meant to do.

What Stretch Mark & Scar Revision Can Address

A well-planned revision protocol can support several distinct concerns. Most patients arrive with more than one of the following, which is why a consultation is the best place to start.

Stretch Marks (Striae)

New red or purple marks and older white or silver marks on the abdomen, hips, thighs, breasts or arms.

Surgical and Injury Scars

C-section, appendectomy, cosmetic surgery and accident scars that sit raised, indented or off-colour.

Acne Scarring

Rolling, boxcar and icepick texture left behind on the cheeks, jawline, chest or back.

Skin Laxity Around the Mark

Loose or crepey tissue that often accompanies stretch marks after pregnancy or weight loss.

Uneven Texture and Tone

Enlarged pores, roughness, dyschromia and patchy pigmentation across a treated zone.

Overall Skin Quality

Firmer, smoother-looking skin in the area surrounding the marks themselves.

Is Stretch Mark & Scar Revision Right for You?

Good candidates are in stable general health, not pregnant or breastfeeding, and looking to improve how a specific area looks rather than remove a mark entirely. The most reliable way to find out whether a stretch mark treatment suits your goals is a one-on-one evaluation with our medical team, who will review your skin type, medical history and expectations before recommending a plan.

It helps to know upfront that stretch marks and scars can be softened but not erased. Most people need a series of sessions spaced several weeks apart before the change becomes obvious, since the skin needs time between visits to build new collagen.

Results vary from person to person and depend on the age, depth and location of the mark. A thin white stria on the thigh, a raised surgical scar on the abdomen and acne texture on the cheeks each call for different settings and a different number of visits.

Key Points to Consider

  • Treatment aims to soften and blend the appearance of a mark rather than remove it.
  • Candidates should be in stable general health and not pregnant or breastfeeding.
  • A series of sessions spaced several weeks apart is usually needed before change is visible.
  • Older silver or white marks and newer pink or red marks respond differently.
  • Most treatments are non-invasive or minimally invasive with little to no downtime for most patients.
  • Sunscreen and light moisturizers help maintain results but are not a substitute for treatment.

Ask us which stretch mark and scar revision treatment is right for you. Book a consultation with the Cosmetic Rejuvenation Center medical team and we will assess each region in person, walk you through what is realistic, and build a plan around your skin type and priorities.
